Privacy Policy

Dot Brawl is a free online game. This page explains in plain words what information the game and this website use. We keep it to what the game needs to work.
What we collect
- Account details if you sign up: your email address, your username and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and first name from Google, and nothing else.
- Game progress: your level, XP, coins, tokens, items you own and what you have equipped.
- Anonymous visit statistics: a random visitor ID stored in a cookie, the type of device (phone or computer), the website you came from, and the country, which we estimate from your browser time zone. We do not store your IP address in these statistics.
- Match data: while you play online, positions and actions are relayed between players in real time. We do not keep a record of matches.
Cookies and storage
- A login cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
- A visitor cookie (random ID, up to 2 years) lets us count unique visitors.
- Your browser's local storage keeps settings and, for guests, progress on your device.
We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data inside the game.
Where your data is stored
Accounts are stored in a database on a server in Singapore, and games run on servers in Europe and Asia. Servers are provided by Hetzner. DNS and this website are served through Cloudflare.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Anonymous statistics are kept in aggregate form for as long as they are useful to improve the game.
Your choices
You can play as a guest without giving us any personal information. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by emailing us at the address below.
Children
Dot Brawl is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
